Obituary for Dorothy Nell Yates Dorothy Nell Yates, 89, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to join her Lord on Friday, July 28, 2018. Dorothy was born July 16, 1929 in White Deer, Texas to Edwin E. and Mavis Laurie Nelson Minter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 63 years, Charles E. Yates, Sr.; sons, Charles D. Yates, Bill Yates; and brother, Gene Minter. Dorothy Nell is survived by her daughter, Vicki Griffin and husband, Dennis; daughters-in law, Diane Yates and Betty Yates; grandchildren, Andrew Yates and wife, Janet, Angela Guthrie and husband, Ryan, Billy Kidd, Jacob Williamson, Cori Yates, and Chris Yates; great-grandchildren, Evie, Zoe, Emet, Grace and Madelyn Yates, Reese Ryder, and Piper Charlie Guthrie, Rayve and Sevyn Kidd, Kaydence Wilhite, Mackenna Kincade, Ashley, Brendon, Chris and Erin Yates, and Brogan Yates.
