Donald R Guilbeault 1926 2018

Obituary for Donald Guilbeault Donald R. Guilbeault, 91, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on Friday, July 13, 2018. Born in Massachusetts on September 1, 1926, he was the son of the late Henry L. and Ernestine (Paquin) Guilbeault. He was educated in the schools of Massachusetts and came to Kenosha in 1952. Don served his country in United States Navy as a Seaman First Class and retired from the United States Army as a Sargant First Class after 21 years. He was proud to have been part of the Invasion of Normandy. In April of 1952, he married Harriett Pivovar in Waukegan, IL; she preceded him in death in 1995. He then married Dorothy Vander Vere in Kenosha; she preceded him in death in 2007. Don was employed with JI Case for 23 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, the Kenosha Moose Club, and the US L.S.T. Association. Survivors include a brother, Robert Guilbeault of Washington; his special friend, Jane Szewczyk of Kenosha; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Henry Guilbeault; and two sisters, JoAnn Ambroult and Claire Loranger. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 28th, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Casimir Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated.
