Colebrook: Donald Roudi, 95 died on June 28, 2018, at Valerie Manor in Torrington, CT. He was the husband of Corinne Lasher Roudi. Formerly of Wallingford, he was the son of the late Julia and Ralph Roudi. He was a graduate of Ithaca College and had a Masters in Music Education from Boston University. He was a World War II veteran and served aboard the USS Texas. A former music supervisor for the Regional #7 School System, he retired from West Hartford in 1976 as an elementary music teacher specializing in band and orchestra. He was included in the “Outstanding Teachers of America” 1974 edition. He was a former member of the Finance Board and Board of Assessors in Colebrook. He later became interested portrait photography and attended seminars in New York City. A member of the Canton Club, he was one of the judges. At age 80 he took up painting. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter Marcia Taub of Glastonbury, his grandsons, Griffin Taub of Washington, D. C. and Daniel Taub and wife Stefanie of Boston, MA, and a nephew, Dennis Roudi and wife Pam of East Grand Rapids, MI. He was predeceased by a brother, Ralph Roudi. There are no calling hours.
