Diem-Trang N. Dao, August 4, 1975 – July 20, 2018 With tremendous sadness, the family of Dr. Diem-Trang Dao shares news of her passing. She died on Friday, July 20, 2018 of lung cancer. She was 42. She is survived by her husband – Dr. Raymond Lim, their daughters – Audrey & Natalie, her father, her six siblings, and many loving nieces, nephews and relatives. Prior to her diagnosis, Diem had a brilliant career as a dentist. She later retired to devote her time to raising her 2 daughters, who were 18 months and 3 years old when she was diagnosed 9 years ago. She was a kind and gracious woman with remarkable character, always wanting to do the right thing. She had a positive outlook that guided her through all aspects of life, which she maintained even as her condition progressed. Her contagious laugh brightened the lives of all who knew and loved her. Visitation and funeral service will be held at Berge Pappas Smith Chapel of the Angels, 40842 Fremont Boulevard, Fremont, CA on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Diem’s memory to the Cancer Discovery Fund at the Stanford Cancer Institute, which is dedicated to developing new therapies, prevention strategies and methods of early detection that reduce the occurrence and impact of cancer. med.stanford.edu/cancer/about/help/make-a-gift.html
