Obituary for Dianne McCown (Lyle) Dianne McCown 1946-2018 Dianne McCown, 71 of St. Joseph, Missouri formerly of Burlington Junction, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at LaVerna Village of St. Joseph. Dianne was born on December 2, 1946 in Maryville, Missouri to LeRoy and Esther (Hollis) Lyle. She was a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church and was a graduate of West Nodaway Class of 1964. A graduate from St. Joseph Beauty University, she was a beautician and later worked for Price Funeral Home. She married Eugene J. McCown on May 5, 1973 in Red Oak, Iowa. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2018. She was also preceded by her parents, brother, Jim Lyle, nephew, Robbie Lyle and her first husband, Kieran Pfeifer. Dianne was passionate about any and all things relating to her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids. Dianne had a special way with people making everyone around her feel valued and important. She was a tremendous friend and enjoyed any time she was able to spend with them. Dianne’s love of family radiated in all that she did and said and was evident from the moment you met her. She is survived by her children, Jonnie (Nick) Kemerling, Rock Port, Missouri, Katie McCown (Troy Poppa), St. Joseph, Missouri, Scott (Jaimie) Pfeifer, Kansas City, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Payton, Drue, Dylan, Ryder, River, Will and Leighton; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Bonnie Hayes; niece and nephews, Brenda Lyle, Jeff Lyle and Coby Hayes. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30am Tuesday, July 10th at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Burlington Jct. Missouri. Interment Ohio Cemetery, Burlington Jct., Missouri. Rosary 5pm Monday, July 9th at Price Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the rosary from 5:30pm to 7:00pm Monday at Price Funeral Home in Maryville, Missouri.
