Daniel Lewis Anderson June 19 2018

OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME Daniel Lewis Anderson (Dan), passed away on June 19th, 2018 at his home. He has deep family roots in Maine; he sweat sea water and could “ayuh” with the best of ‘em. And he did. Dan’s kind heart, warm personality, and wry sense of humor earned him friends wherever he roamed. He was a protector, a nurturer and an adventurer. He spent his days creating beautiful landscapes and stone walls and patios, and his free time climbing rocks, rescuing dogs, playing disc golf and seeing what Mother Nature had to offer him. Dan enjoyed cultivating plants, a good laugh, Key West pizza, and most of all spending time with those he loved. He leaves behind an extensive hoodie collection, several pairs of ripped jeans, twenty-three Bic lighters, many broken hearts, and a car that is proof he never once littered. He is survived by his cat George, his devoted parents Dana and Barbara Anderson, his loving sister Amanda and her husband Hunter Mathews, his niece Hazel and nephew Henry. “You know our love will not fade away.” -C. Harndin In lieu of flowers, Dan’s family requests that donations be made in his name to the Owen County Friends of Animals. gogetfunding.com/dan-anderson-memorial-fund/
