Obituary for Chad J. Sigman Chad Joseph Sigman, age 48, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away on July 23, 2018 in Rensselaer. Chad was born May 5, 1970, in Frankfort, Indiana, the son of Joe and Sally (Whitaker) Sigman. Chad graduated with the Class of 1988 from South Fork High School in Kincaid, Illinois. He had been employed with U.S. Steel for more than 23 years and for Rensselaer Eagle Vault Corporation. He was affiliated with the Fellowship of Living Hope Church and the Trinity United Methodist Church, both in Rensselaer. Chad also spent many years volunteering with the Jasper County Fair Association. Chad loved John Deere tractors and enjoyed being outdoors doing landscape work for others and himself. His greatest treasure was time spent with his children, grandchildren and his family. Chad will be dearly missed by his children, Kayla (Cavin McGan) Sigman, Brook, Indiana; Keri Sigman and Kyler Sigman, both of Rensselaer, Indiana; his two grandchildren, Ella and Camden McGan, his sister, Amy Gembala Sigman and niece, Becca Todd, both of Rensselaer along with many Aunts and Uncles and his girlfriend, Amy Putts of Rensselaer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Sally Sigman who passed away in 1994, paternal grandparents, George and Corneila Sigman and maternal grandparents, Buck and Helen (aka Nanny) Whitaker. Friends may call at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. CDT. Funeral services will be held at the Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. CDT with Pastor John Hostetter officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Rensselaer, Indiana. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the College Trust Fund established for Keri and Kyler.
