Obituary for Carrie J. White Carrie J. White, 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. She was the loving wife of David D. White Carrie was born in Mansfield and was the daughter of the late Louis and Sarafina (Silvetelli) Scialoia. Carrie met her husband on a blind date. He arrived at her house with a couple of friends to meet the girls. When he saw her, he told his friends, “She’s mine”. They shared 72 wonderful years of marriage together. Carrie was employed at Clearfloat for many years, on the mothers shift, while she raised her family. She was an avid bowler and golfer and also loved ice skating. She was very stylish and sewed many outfits for herself and her girls while they were growing up. The family spent many years vacationing in Dennisport, Cape Cod, and traveling around the country, by car. She and her husband loved spending time in Bermuda and Jamaica with their friends. They also enjoyed bus trips and going to Foxwoods. In her later years, she was a volunteer at Sturdy Memorial Hosp. where she was a Patient Liaison. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her daughters, Diane Baenziger and her husband Keith of Attleboro and Lauren Beauregard and her husband Dennis of S. Attleboro: sisters, Alice Smith and her husband Joseph of Attleboro, Josie Chartier and her husband Leonard of CA., and Philo Chamberlain of UT: grandchildren Jolie Beauregard and the late Austin Beauregard and Sydney Dufort and her husband Peter: great grandchildren Weston and Mitchell and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Angie Laninfa, and Joseph, Harry, Paul, Louis and Roger Scialoia. Her funeral service will be held on Wed. July, 18, 2018, at 10:30 am, in Foley-Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 126 South Main St. Attleboro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial will be private. Calling hours will precede the service from 9 to 10:30am in the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to La Salette.
