Carolyn Marie (Tille) VieBrooks, 78, passed from this life on July 25, 2018 in Rogers, AR, after a lengthy and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in Gibsonburg, OH on September 24, 1939 to Thelma (Myers) Tille and Lewis Tille. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Hot Springs Village, AR. Carolyn graduated from Gibsonburg High School where she met the love of her life, John VieBrooks. Carolyn and John were married for 42 glorious years before he passed in 2003. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Education and a Masters in Library and Educational Media from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH. She taught Social Studies, History and English for over 30 years in the Woodmore, OH schools to Jr. and Sr. high school students who loved and respected her. She retired teaching and serving as a school librarian. Carolyn had many friends in Ohio and Hot Springs Village, AR, with whom she shared her passions for bridge and especially golf. She was a longtime member of Highland Meadows Country Club in Toledo, OH and famously beat her own mother-in-law, (Nellie VieBrooks) for the Chippewa Golf Club Women’s Championship in a play-off in Curtice, OH. She has been recorded as having 4 amazing holes-in-one in her lifetime. She was also a master gardener; well known for her beautiful flower gardens on her lake front property in Hot Springs Village, AR, where she and John had retired in 1998. Carolyn enjoyed volunteering her time at the Hot Springs Village library and was a voracious reader. Before she became ill, she used her love of history to travel the world and had a deep passion for diversity and fairness for people who aren’t as fortunate volunteering her time and money to her favorite causes. She is survived by son, Jason VieBrooks and wife, Kim of Rogers, AR; daughter, Wendy (VieBrooks) Rice and husband, Greg of Little Rock, AR; beloved grandchildren, Taylor Moss of Little Rock, Katherine, Olivia, Mary Elizabeth VieBrooks of Rogers, AR; brothers, Jim Tille of Old Forge, NY and Allen Tille of Toledo, OH. She is also survived by her faithful, loving companion of over 10 years Junior Dale Crow of Hot Springs Village, AR. There are no services planned at this time.
