Obituary for Carol A. Babuschak Carol Ann Babuschak (nee Weisgarber), 73, Manchester, Twp. went home to be with the Lord July 22, 2018. Born in Trenton, NJ, Carol worked as a Porcelain Artist at Boehm Porcelain, Ewing, NJ; as an Art teacher at St. Thomas Christian Academy, Brick, NJ and as a Fine and Performing Arts teacher and Religion teacher at Msgr. Donovan High School, Toms River, NJ where she also directed the spring musical for 14 years, designed sets and costumes, painted scenery, founded and directed the Liturgical Drama group. Carol served as a Girl Scout leader for many years. Carol and her husband hosted exchange students from Brazil, Japan, Sweden, and France. She enjoyed camping and traveling with her family and was always setting the table for family and friends during holidays and special occasions. Carol was a communicant of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Toms River for 45 years where she had been a member of the Altar Rosary Society and Flame of Love Prayer Group, a Team Leader for Pre Cana as well as a co-founder and leader of the CYGNUS youth group. Carol also used her artistic ability to design and sew banners as well as liturgical vestments for the church. Carol is pre-deceased by her parents, Mathias and Irene Weisgarber. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and beloved husband of 54 years, Deacon Francis J. Babuschak, Jr.; her brother William Weisgarber (Leticia); her two sisters Susan Clarke (Robert) and Nancy Loretangeli (Dan); her three children Suzanne Pilozo (Anthony), Mark Babuschak (Joji) and Gretchen VanHoorelbeke (Jack). Carol was loved by her grandchildren, RJ (Gen), Anthony (Jordan), Jared (Susie), Justine, Alexander, Jackson, Gabriel and Jacob, and her great-grandchildren Aubrey, Kai, Elani, Alexander and Anthony. A visitation will be held at Carmona-Bolen Funeral Home, 412 Main St., Toms River on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Carol’s life at a Funeral Mass at 11:00am on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 685 Hooper, Toms River. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 56 Cedar Grove Rd., Toms River.
