Obituary for Brenda A. Skiles Brenda A. Skiles, 53, of Kearney, died Sunday, July 22, 2018 at her home in Kearney of natural causes. Memorial services will be on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney. Pastor Chad Anderson will officiate and burial will be at Kearney Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Horner Lieske McBride & Kuhl Funeral and Cremation Services in Kearney are in charge of arrangements. Brenda was born on September 7, 1964 in Kearney, NE to Robert E. and Connie J. (Hedstrom) Skiles. She attended Kearney High School and later earned a business and masters degree from Arizona State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. Brenda was a devoted single mother to her two children, Briana and Davis. She was a great support system for both children while they pursued all types of activities through their lives. There was never an activity that she did not attend to show her support for her children. She was ever so proud of the adults that they were becoming. Surviving relatives include her daughter, Briana Skiles of Kearney; son, Davis Skiles of Kearney; mother, Connie Skiles of Kearney; brothers, Brad (Tonya) Skiles and Rob (Jenny) Skiles all of Kearney; nieces and nephews, Emma Skiles, Matthew and Alison Skiles, Nathan and Carlie Skiles, Hayley and Alex Johng; special family friends, Steve and Mary Jo Chatelain, Jack, Max and Wil Chatelain; numerous other extended family and many beloved friends.
