Obituary of Bonita Swafford Bonita Sue Swafford, 63, Jonesboro, was surrounded by family when she went to be with the Lord at 7:21 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born in Marion to the late Maurice and Patsy (Fansler) Weaver. Bonita married Dayne C. Swafford on November 13, 2000, and he survives. A 1973 graduate of Oak Hill High School, Bonita was a line worker at General Tire. She attended Lighthouse Assembly. Bonita enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo, watching the Indianapolis Colts, and camping at local state parks. She loved her family, and she loved giving to and helping. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 18 years, Dayne; sons, Michael Arnold, Gas City, and Robert (Jenifer) Cox, Bunker Hill; 9 grandchildren, Felicity (Josh) Heinlein, Jaycee Cox, Robert Cox, Jr., Neveah Arnold, Tyler Carter, Tori Carter, Toni Carter, Jason Shrout, and Ethan Shrout; 2 great-grandchildren, Landon and Mercedes; sister, Debbie (Rob) Chambers; brothers, Brian (Tracy) Weaver and Phillip (Brenda) Weaver; mother-in-law, Sue Swafford; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Scrappy. Also preceding her in death were her sister, Brenda Collier, and father-in-law, Clyde Swafford. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with Bonita’s funeral service beginning at 12 noon on Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Integrity Funeral Care, 2901 S. Washington St., Marion, IN. Pastor Robert McCoy will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Diabetes Association, 6415 Castleway W.
