Watson-North Funeral Home is honored to be of service and ministry to the family of Beulah “Granny” Colvin, age 79, of Estill Springs. Granny Colvin passed from this life peacefully while surrounded by her loving family at St. Thomas West in Nashville TN. She was welcomed into eternal rest by Bishop “Papa” Colvin on July 17, 2018. She leaves fond memories of her love for cooking, preparing large meals, making sure everyone was full, baking, fishing and playing the board game Trouble. She was an expert when it came to playing Monopoly. She would buy up every piece of property she landed on and enjoyed sending her opponents into bankruptcy. She then would become the “banker” and loan money to those less fortunate, with interest, of course. Although she created many memories of large meals, fishing with the grands and a master at board games, she left a legacy to her children and family as a woman of great faith. She proudly spoke of being a stay at home mom and teaching her children to pray. On July 4, 2018, she had been saved for 64 years. She was quick to let you know that she never regretted that decision and was not dreading the journey before her. Granny helped mentor many and was such an example of a Christian lady. She and her late husband Bishop Earnest “Papa” Colvin served in the ministry for 50 years. They pastored the First United Pentecostal Church in Winchester for 42 years. She leaves behind to mourn her passing her devoted children Barbara and Ronnie Riddle, Earnie and Melanie Colvin, Doris and Tommy North, Bonita and Tim Robinson, former son in law Terry Freeze, grandchildren; Ronica, Anthony, Jonathan, Jennifer, Kayla, Jeremy, Alyssa, Jordan, Josiah, Bekah, Josh, Heather, Chesney, Justin, Logan, Whitney, Carlee and Andrea, great grandchildren; Austin, Alina, McKenzy, Jayla, Zach, Levi, Baylor, Conner and LeeAnna, Gavyn, Korbyn, and a long awaited great grandson Dawson. Visitation for Granny Colvin will be held at The First United Pentecostal Church 504 South Jefferson Street Winchester, TN on Friday July 20, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday July 21, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Watson-North Memorial Park with Josiah Jackson, Josh Jackson, Jonathan Riddle, Logan Robinson, Jeremy Hill, Justin Horton and Terry Freeze serving as pallbearers.
