Obituary for Betty Rigsby Funeral services for Mrs. Betty O’Nita Rigsby of Calhoun, LA will be 2:00pm Friday, July 27, 2018 at Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe with Bro. Tommy Smith and Pastor James Gills officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 12:00pm until time of service at the funeral home. Mrs. Rigsby was born January 11, 1935 in Columbus, GA, and passed from this life on July 22, 2018 in Calhoun, LA at the age of 82. Betty was active in our community, she was a member of the home demonstration club and garden club, award winning artist, and founder PTA. She also enjoyed photography and loved traveling, most of all she had a big heart for her family and friends. She will be missed by all. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Bertha Hill; brother, Charles Raymond Hill II; daughter Barbara Rigsby; sister Mary. Survivors include her husband of 65 years RA Rigsby; two daughters, Ginger Rigsby of Calhoun, LA, and Cynthia Gills of New Orleans, LA; brother, David Hill; five sisters, Shirley Wilson and husband Ira of Monroe, LA; Linda Lewis and husband Chuck of Salina, Ok; Nellie Bullock and husband Roy of West Monroe, LA, Sharon Bradshaw and husband Alan of Monroe, LA, Charlotte Hales and Husband Tommy of Bastrop, LA. Five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one on the way, also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
