Obituary for Betty Tobey (Patten) PITTSTON, MAINE Betty Lou Tobey – age 81, of Peaslee Road, died July 6, 2018 at Augusta Center for Health & Rehabilitation after a brief illness. She was born in Augusta, ME on Sept. 3, 1936 the daughter of Frank Patten, Sr. and Alice (Webb) Patten. Mrs. Tobey was a graduate of Cony High School. She was a homemaker in her own home for most of her life, raising a family of seven children. She was predeceased by her parents, by her husband, Raymond A. Tobey, on Nov. 19, 2001 and brothers, Gerald W. Patten and Bruce Patten. Surviving are two daughters, Kelly Tozier and her husband William of Jefferson, ME and Gina Hall and her companion Larry Zayac of Gardiner, ME; five sons: Paul R. Tobey and his wife Susan of Pittston, ME, Barry J. Tobey of Bentonville, AR, Dana L. Tobey and his wife Heidi, of Augusta, ME, Jason A. Tobey and his wife Sarah of Augusta, ME and Tracey A. Tobey and his wife Dawn of Vassalboro, ME; one brother, Frank E. Patten of Richmond, ME; 23 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be no public visiting hours. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday August 2, 2018 at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, ME.
