Obituary for Barbara A. (Witengier) DePaola Barbara A. (Witengier) DePaola, 80, a life long Fall River resident passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Jul;y 1,2018. She was the wife of Peter P. DePaola, a daughter of the late Julian Witengier and the late Effie (Rypyse) Witengier. Barbara was a graduate of Bryant College, and taught high school business classes in Norton, MA for a number of years. She was a communicant of Holy Name Church, Fall River. Besides her husband she is survived by a sister, Marie E. Witengier of Fall River; and nieces and nephews, Stephen T. DePaola and family, and Stephen J. DePaola and family, John P. DePaola, Walter DePaola and family, Ronald Maccarone and family, Judith Adams and family, Robert Merola, Patricia Matthews and family, and Kenneth Guimond. She was also the sister of the late Julian L. Witengier. Her funeral will be held Friday, July 6, 2018, at 10 AM, from the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River with an 11 AM mass in Holy Name Church, Hanover St., Fall River, with committal to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
