Obituary of Aurora Montano Ramos Aurora Montano Ramos, 71, of Beardstown passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 surrounded by family at her home. She was born September 26, 1946 in Mexico, the daughter of J. Jesus Montano and Maria Guadalupe Ramos. She is survived by her children, Lidia Rivera (Jesus Arturo), Angel Cardenas Montano, Paula Cardenas Montano, Ismael Cardenas Montano, Noemi Reyes Cardenas Montano (Luis Enrique), Patricia Cardenas Montano (Guillermo Gomez), Luis Barrientos Montano and Javier Barrientos Montano (Sara); grandchildren, Nayeli Rodriguez, Brandon Rivera, Mayra Rivera, Pablo Arce, Claudia A. Cardenas Lopez, Cesar Adrian Cardenas Lopez, Edgar Ruiz Cardenas, Juan Gusman Cardenas, Diana Molina Cardenas, Adrian Ezquivel Cardenas, Jorge Ezquivel Cardenas, Jessica Reyes, Naomi Reyes, Keila Reyes, Rolando Alexis Lopez Cardenas, Hannah Barrientos and Christopher Javier Barrientos; siblings, Joaquin Montano Ramos, Raul Montano Ramos, Estela Montano Ramos, Salvador Montano Ramos and Lilia Montano Ramos. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Juan Manuel Cardenas Montano; two sisters, Marialena Montano Ramos and Reyna Montano Ramos; and two brothers, Jesus Montano Ramos and Miquel Montano Ramos. Aurora was employed by JBS in Beardstown, before retiring. She also sold Mary Kay and Avon products, worked in housekeeping and as a laborer in the strawberry and lettuce fields of California. After many years of waiting, Aurora received her United States Citizenship on June 5, 2015. Aurora enjoyed watching action movies especially any movie with Steven Segal or Chuck Norris, sewing, having yard sales and shopping at thrift stores. She was a great cook and loved cooking for her family. Aurora loved her family whole heartedly and cherished the time she spent with all of them. A funeral service will be held 12:30 PM Monday, July 30, 2018 at Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown with burial at Beardstown City Cemetery. Family will meet friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to La Iglesia del Nazareno “Libertad” or Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
