Obituary for Angeline Marie Bayer Funeral services for Angeline Bayer, 86, of Dime Box, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Dime Box with Father Ed Karasek officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, July 3, 2018 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. at Phillips and Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. A Rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Angeline Marie Bayer was born on April 23, 1932 in Lexington, Texas to James Frank & Christina (Dubcak) Zapalac. Angeline was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Altar Society, St. Joseph’s Church Bazaar, and numerous church functions. She enjoyed baking, canning, cooking, gardening, sports, spending time outside and taking care of her family and friends. Angeline passed away the morning of Saturday, June 30, 2018 at CHI St. Joseph’s Health Regional Hospital in Bryan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Bayer Sr., her parents, James & Christina Zapalac; her brother, Jimmy Zapalac and her sister, Deloris Schultz. Angeline is survived by her three children, Mary Sebesta and her husband, Robert of Paige, Jerry Bayer Jr. of Dime Box and William “Billy” Bayer and his wife, Debbie of Junction; six grandchildren, Angela Menzel and her husband, Tim of Katy, Rebecca Rieansnider and her husband, Mark of Spring, Heather Charanza of Houston, Carlos Rodriguez of Houston, Teri Suchil and her husband, Cam of Austin and Betsy Smith and her husband, Lucky of Leander; three great grandchildren, David Smith, Ashley Smith and Andrew Suchil; one sister, Evelyn Paul of Rockdale as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Robert Sebesta, Jerry Bayer Jr., Billy Bayer, Tim Menzel, Mark Rieansnider and Carlos Rodriguez. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105, Our Lady of Fatima, Apostolado Mundial de Fatima, Secretariado Interacional, Rua S.
