Mary Ann Berg, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt Passed away on Saturday, June 02, 2018. Mary’s life was taken tragically when she was hit by a school bus she was taken to the trauma unit in OSHU and was there for some time. Also spending time at the Kaiser hospital, then being transferred to the Rosewood assisted living home. Although she had a fighting spirit to recover she was not able to overcome her injuries. Mary was born on November 27, 1933 in Deadwood South Dakota. She was the 8th of nine children, born to Garrett and Jeanette DenHerder. She was a graduate of Forest Grove High School. Mary Ann’s family moved to the Oregon area in 1938 when she was 4 years old, where they spent many years farming in the Tualatin area. Mary Ann also lived several years in Northern California, where she met and married her husband Al Berg. After moving to Hillsboro she worked for the Leggs company. Upon retirement, she and AL enjoyed traveling with friends. For the past …… years she has been living in the Rosewood Park Retirement home. Mary Ann leaves behind Sons, Jon Berg, and Greg Berg, daughters, Kathy Finch, and Janice——- a granddaughter, Carla, a brother, Hank DenHerder and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Al, five brothers, and two sisters.
