Obituary of Elias Ghantous Elias Chehade Ghantous, age 73, of Clio, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Medilodge of Grand Blanc. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 12:00 pm, Tuesday, July 3, 2018, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mt. Morris. Rev. Fr. William Wegher officiating, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. On Tuesday morning, Elias will be taken to the church to lie in state from 10:00 am until the time of funeral Mass at 12:00 pm. Elias was born on November 10, 1944, in Lebanon, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Shehadeh and Deebeh (Shaheen) Ghantous. He graduated from St. Agnes High School in Flint class of 1962. After school, he proudly served in the United States Army for two years. Elias and Randa were united in marriage on June 22, 2002, in Detroit. He worked for 30 years for General Motors as a Line Man at the Truck and Bus. In his free time, he enjoyed playing games and chess, spending time with family and friends, going fishing, going to garage sales, and hosting BBQ’s. Elias was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Left to cherish his memory are loving wife: Randa; three sons: Chad and wife Jillian Ghantous, Peter Ghantous, Joseph Ghantous; three grandchildren: Caleb, Briana, Sophia; two sisters: Salame, Elaine; and many loved ones.
