Detlef (Ed) Karl Brandt died unexpectedly on May 29, 2018 at YRMC, Prescott. He was born June 20, 1937 in Pirmasens, Germany. Trained as a tool and die maker, Ed owned several machine shops in Canada, Texas, and was a founding partner of Prescott Aerospace. After selling the business, Ed began Brandt Machine, retiring in 2013. Becoming an American citizen and voting in American elections was an honor for them both Ed and his wife. Ed is survived by his wife of 50 years, Grace Brandt, daughter Pam (Jeff) Hendricks, granddaughter Ashley Gordon and siblings Claus, Inga, and Angela in France and Germany.
