Obituary for Barbara Thompson PRINCETON– Barbara Louise Sindelar Thompson, 75 of Princeton departed for her heavenly home on Monday, June 18, 2018. Born June 28, 1942 at Cleveland, Ohio she was the daughter of the late William and Lois Dentz Sindelar. She graduated from Holy Name High School. A graduate of the first LPN class of Mercer County Vo Tech, she worked for many years at Bluefield Sanitarium and Princeton Community Hospital. She was a member of TOPS Chapter 0216 and considered them family. She achieved KOPS status in 2018 and was chapter queen. Although she was unable to attend, she was honored to be runner up for state KOPS queen at SRD in May. She had a kind heart and was loved by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry (Possie) Thompson and two brothers, William, Jr. and Robert Sindelar. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Leonard, Eugene (Belinda), Randy all of Princeton and Jerry, Jr. (Kathy) of Athens; grandchildren, Nathan, Barbara Thompson Boothe, Dustin, Jared, Alan and Samantha; great grandchildren, Ellie, Avereigh, Liam, Skyler and Braxton; special cousin, Donna Bradley of Ohio, Shirley Delp of Princeton the sister she never had and her “extra” children, Harless, Jr., Kathy Martin and Stephanie Maynard all of Rock. Special thanks to Bernadette Perdue for her care. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery on Bicknall Flats. Pallbearers will be Wayne and Kirkland Perdue and Jim and Orin Grezema. Honorary Pallbearers will be men of TOPS Chapter 0216.
