Daniel J. Davis IV of Mansfield passed away suddenly on June 2. He was born Nov. 29, 1945 to Daniel J. Davis III and Edna D. (Hemingway) Davis of Medford. He graduated from Matignon High School in 1963. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1965 -1969, and subsequently attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. He was dear brother of Bill Davis and his wife Nancy of Boston; Dianne Davis of Winchester, Laurie Watson and her husband Bob of Jamaica Plain, Bernadette Davis and her late husband Greg Hudson of Medford, Richard Davis and Jolie Silva of Billerica, and Raymond Davis and his wife Theresa of Medford. Dan is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He is also survived by longtime friend Marijane Pearey of Mansfield. Dan loved golf and loved to go to work every day. To his many golf buddies at Woburn Country Club the Davis family offers its sincere condolences. To his colleagues at Collier, and his many friends among their customers, especially the Parks family, the Davis family offers its sincere appreciation for your kind friendship to Dan over many years, and we offer our deepest condolences for your loss. Visiting hours will be at Gaffey Funeral Home, 43 High St. Medford on Thursday from 4 PM to 8 PM. Internment will be private.
