Britney Ann (Yellow) Lussier, age 21, of Red Lake, MN, began her journey home on June 16, 2018, at the University of Minnesota with her family by her side. Britney, Ojibwe name Mizhakwad meaning Clear Sky, was born on October 16, 1996, in Bemidji, MN, the daughter of Rodney Lussier and Delores Tobbi Yellow. Britney attended Red Lake and Clearbrook-Gonvick High Schools and afterwards worked many different jobs, most recently as a Security Guard for the Thief River Falls Casino. She was a kind hearted and generous person who loved being with her friends and family. She was also casino crazy and loved to do her make-up, travel, and babysit. Britney is survived by her parents, Rodney Lussier and Delores Yellow; grandmother, Lois Lussier; siblings, Janis Hegg, Jeremy Hart, Jr., Gerilyn Yellow, and Justyce, Samantha, Brycen, and Bryon Lussier; special friend, Brian Roy; aunt Carolyn Feather; and uncles, Austin Head, Tony Bellanger, and Melvin Feather, Jr., as well as more extended family and friends. Family members waiting to greet Britney are her baby Lussier-Roy; paternal grandfather, Edward Lussier, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Geraldine and Toby Yellow; aunts, Sara and Leanna Lussier; and cousin Rashelli Bravo.
