Obituary of Steven Dodd Steven C. Dodd, 63, of Beach Park, IL passed away Friday, June 15, 2018. Steve was born on February 11, 1955. He was a graduate of Zion Benton Township High School, class of 1974 and a business owner for over 40 years. On September 3, 1975, he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Julie Adams, at Grace Missionary Church in Zion. His hobbies included building hot rods and restoring gas pumps. He enjoyed sharing his expertise with friends and loved helping others in any way he could. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was the best Dad in the world and his daughters hero. After the tragic loss of his adored wife of 43 years, Steve passed away of a broken heart. Steven is survived by his only daughter, Candace (Roman) Timokhin; beautiful granddaughter, Aria Jade; and beloved grand-doggy, Co-Co. A celebration of life will be held for Steve and Julie on Thursday, June 21, 2018. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 7:30 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL 60099. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Aria Jade’s education fund.
