Frist Funeral Home Barbara “Jane” Granger, 86, of Clinton, IN, passed away to be with the Lord on Friday, June 8, 2018. Jane was born January 2, 1932. She graduated from St. Bernice High School and Indiana Business College in Terre Haute. She worked at JI Case in Terre Haute and retired from Columbia House 52 years ago. She loved taking care of her husband and children, devoting her time and energy to make them happy. She loved to bowl, roller skate, and serve in any PTO leadership during her children’s grade school years. She was very close to each of her grandchildren. She was a very kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life was devoted to God first. She attended the First Christian Church, all her beautiful life. She committed herself to the Church and led many of her family members to Christ, by her loyalty and eagerness to serve the Lord. She had so many friends in and outside the Church. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to be in her life. Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband, Billy Joe; her parents, Elmer and Blanche Stevens; and two sisters, Jean (George) Hines and Joyce Critchfield. Jane is survived by her son, Bill (Debbi) Granger of Brownsburg; three daughters, Becki (Keith) Hinton of Uniondale, Bobbi (Greg) Nolan of Clinton, and Barbi (Jeff) Bashaw of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, Matt Granger, Joey (Carly) Hinton, Jacob Hinton, Chris Hinton; Amanda (Shane) Sliger, Adam (Ashli) Nolan, Amy (Bryant) West, Trey Bashaw, and Zachary Bashaw; seven great-grandchildren, Ella Hinton, Collin Hinton, Eli Hinton, Kaylob Pharr, Tyler West, Bryley West, and Mila Jane West; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 4-8 PM on Wednesday at Frist Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 AM with Reverend Larry Kelsheimer officiating. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund, St. Jude Hospital, or the National Alzheimer Foundation of your choice.
