Thomas Hershberger January 23 1954 May 10 2018

Obituary for Thomas Hershberger Thomas “Tom” was born on January 23, 1954 in Iowa to Donald and Freda (Stocker) Hershberger. In 1954, his family moved to Berlin where he resided until he passed away in his home on Thursday, May 10th after a two year battle with cancer. Tom attended Berlin High School, settling into the Berlin Foundry as an adult. He worked at the Foundry for 38 years before retiring as an old timer. He had a great passion for fishing on Lake Poygan and the surrounding lakes. He will never be rained out again, can fish to his heart’s content, and eat Captain’s burgers all day long. Tom is survived by Maxine (Thomas) Mertens, Jane (Dale) Schaumberg, Lee (Diane) Hershberger, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers; Larry, Lonnie, and Donald. Thank you Kevin, Sam, and Hannah Mertens for taking care of me for the past two years. I’m grateful for you and promise to be waiting for you when you get to Heaven. You have always been my favorites. Per Tom’s wishes, there will be no funeral.
