Doris Eileen (Hansen) Dresel, age 77 of Menomonie, Wi died Wednesday May 16, 2018 at her residence. Doris was born July 29, 1940 in Eau Claire, WI to Harry and Evelyn (Thorson) Hansen. She grew up on the family farm in Downing, Wi and later graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School. Doris married Ronald Dresel on May 28, 1958 and divorced in 1973. Doris later… Read More » moved to the Baldwin Woodville area and worked at the Dairy Queen, cooked at the Baldwin Nursing Home and later as a home care giver. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and made many beautiful quilts. In the summer she loved camping up north, gardening her flowers and vegetables, where she would stew and juice the tomatoes. She enjoyed baking for the holidays, especially her sugar cookies were the best. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends. Doris will remain in the hearts of her children; Michelle (Tony) Lystrom, Kirk (Linda) Dresel and Kyle (Tammy) Dresel. Grandchildren’ Christopher Burgess, Molly Lystrom (Chad), Desiree Vance, Brooklynn and Hunter Dresel. Great grandchild Riggs. Sisters Betty Jackson and Helen Reid and brother Dave (Rose) Hansen. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Harriet Miller, brothers in law Alan Miller, Richard Jackson and Cal Reid. Nephews Jeff and Mike Miller. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at Glen Hills Park in Glenwood City on June 16, 2018 from 1 to 4 p.m. Interment will be at a later date of Mound Cemetery Downing, WI. Local arrangements by the Anderson Funeral Home in Glenwood City, WI. Memorial preferred in lieu of flowers.
