Obituary of Wayne Crawford Wayne Alton Crawford 70 of Clifton Forge formerly of Scott Hill Retirement Community, born on October 28, 1947 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on Tuesday May 1, 2018. His parents, Luther H. and Garnett E. Crawford and stepmother, Sally Crawford, preceded him. Mr. Crawford retired after many years as a Long Distance truck driver. He loved being outdoors just to take in God’s nature and playing his guitar, telling jokes and always had a story to tell. A very loving husband, father, Paw Paw, brother and friend who will be dearly missed by all. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Christina Crawford; children, Melissa Davidson and husband Matt, James Crawford and wife Amanda; step children, Kathleen Kirkbride, Vincent Weber, and Preston Weber; six grandchildren, Adam, Brooke, Chad, Courtney, Kansas, and Klaydon; one great grandchild, Brianna; a sister, Patricia Caldwell and husband John, and his long time “Sandbox Buddy”. Along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Saturday May 5, 2018 at Simpson Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Hollenbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00am until service time at the funeral Home.
