Obituary for Paula Thompson Harmon On Monday, May 28, 2018, Paula (Thompson) Harmon, beloved wife, mother, nanny, and sister, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer. Paula worked as a dental assistant for many years, and truly loved her patients and her job. She put her entire heart into everything she did. While her kids were growing up, she took a break from dental assisting and had an in-home daycare where she acquired many more children to love as her own. Paula always had an open door and an open heart for anyone in need. In her free time you could find Paula fishing on the river with her husband Tim, laying out by the pool or riding the gator with Diana and Jane, or rummaging through thrift shops. She enjoyed Coca-Cola, gardening, morning talk-shows, sunflowers, glazed donuts, and Frosted Flakes. Paula’s warm, and kind spirit will be missed by many. She touched everyone’s heart she came in contact with and is remembered by her contagious laugh and bright smile. Paula will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend Tim; her children, Emily (Holloran) Policaro, and Michael Holloran; stepson, Jesse Harmon; her grandsons who were her heart and soul, Brycen and Knoxley; her son-in-law and daughter- in-law, Frankie Policaro and Madison Kerns; and by her brothers and sisters, Freddy Thompson, Sadie (Sissy) Mullins, Eugene (Gene) Thompson, Janice (Nadine) Thompson, and Robert (Peanut) Thompson. Paula will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Paula was preceded in death by her parents Mabel and Jasper Thompson. Services for Paula’s life will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. A viewing and visitation service will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. with a funeral following directly after. Paula will then be cremated. Please wear bright, happy colors as Paula would have wished.
