Obituary for Lorna Jane Olsen Ogden – Lorna Jane Olsen, 85, passed away Sunday May 27, 2018. She was born September 10, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Roland Sutherland Davidson and Lois Fillmore Davidson. The Davidson family moved to Burns, Oregon where Lorna attended elementary and high school. She was the oldest of 12 children and loved watching over and helping her little brothers and sisters. On June 21, 1956 Lorna happily married Glen Melvin Olsen in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lorna was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served faithfully in many callings. Lorna especially loved to serve with little children and spent many years happily serving them as a primary teacher and nursery coordinator. Lorna adored her family of 9 children and often called them her jewels. She loved playing the piano and organ, singing, and cooking. Lorna is survived by her children; Mike Olsen, Seattle, WA; Jane Olsen, Snohomish, WA; Keith (Amy) Olsen, Warren, UT; Kathy (David) Mies, Everett, WA; Kenneth (Angie) Olsen, Ogden, UT; Beverly Watson, Marysville, WA; James Olsen, Ogden, UT; Steven Olsen, Marysville, WA; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glen Olsen, one son, Jerry Olsen, three sisters, Elaine Davidson, Kathryn Petersen, Margaret Pruitt, grandson, Travis Hazelett, and step grandson, Scott Watson. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Warren Ward Chapel, 856 North 5900 West. The family will meet with friends the same day from 9:30 to 10:30am at the church.
