Gordon M. Long 1935-2018 Gordon Malcolm Long, returned to his Heavenly Father on April 29, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born July 29, 1935, Los Angeles, California to Dewy and Ora Kone Long. Married Reda Bingham on April 2, 1954. She passed away on Oct. 27, 1997. Married Mary Jane Nelson on May 9, 1998. He was a perpetual missionary, serving thirteen missions (five of them foreign). He loved life and always had a smile for anyone. Survived by his wife Jane, his five children and four step-children, Ron & Louise Long, Dennie & Chris Long, Wendy & Jerry Staker, Darren Long, Holly & Mark Jackman, Tammy Iraheta, Noah Eldredge, Noelle & Kave Klunker, James & Angela Eldredge, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018, 12:00 p.m. at the Brighton 6th Ward Chapel, 2925 E. Bengal Blvd. (7800 S.) A visitation will be held Friday, May 4, 2018, at Cannon Mortuary, 2460 E. Bengal Blvd. (7600 S.) from 6-8 p.m. and the day of the service at the church from 11-11:45 a.m. Family was most important to Gordon. Thank you Gordon for the beautiful life you gave us.
