Ogden, Utah – Our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Catherine Eva Taylor died peacefully May 22, 2018. Catherine was born Feb. 7, 1922 in Ogden, Utah to Catherine Louise Batchelor Taylor and John LeRoy Taylor. Her father died when she was 5 years old and she was raised by her stepfather, John Barend Ravenberg. She married Howard Searle Taylor on June 3, 1947 in the Logan Temple. Together they had 3 children, 8 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission with her husband to Jackson, Mississippi. She also served in the Salt Lake Temple and the Bishop’s Storehouse. She served as music director in the Primary for many years and loved singing with the children. She attended High School in Ogden, then attended Weber State, and Utah State where she received her teaching degree. She taught grade school in the Roy and Ogden areas, her favorite grade was 3rd. She enjoyed, traveling with her spouse, fishing, singing, square dancing, and thoroughly enjoyed playing cards, board games and cooking. Preceded in death by her parents, Catherine, Leroy, and John. Also, spouse, Howard and stillborn son, brother, Darrell Ravenberg, and sister, Arlene Ravenberg Vit. Survived by daughter Cathy Louise Taylor Kirkham (David DeLynn) and Kirk Howard Taylor (Kathrine). Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Farmington Ranches 5th Ward, 14 Bonanza Road, Farmington, UT 84025. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Russon Mortuary, 1941 N. Main St., Farmington and Wednesday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
