Obituary for Loyd Ray Martin EASTLAND – Loyd Ray Martin, 62, of Eastland, passed from this life to his heavenly home on Monday, May 14, 2018. A memorial service for Loyd will be held at the First Baptist Church in Eastland at 2 PM Sunday, June 3, 2018. Arrangements were made under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland. Cremation will take place at Heartland Cremation Services in Early, TX. Loyd was born January 24, 1956 on Fairland, OK to Cyle Edgar Martin and Isabell True Snow Martin. He married Virginia Winchester on February 14, 1997 in Cooper, TX. Loyd found employment at Higginbotham Bartlett where he worked for Rodney May for over 11 years. He also worked as a faithful maintenance man to Wanda Hull for 9 years and to Carol Brittain and Garrett Webb, at Wanda’s Rentals for the past 4 years. Loyd loved to fish, laugh and sit on the porch of his closest friends Louie and Michelle Martinez and Max. He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia Martin and the many co-workers and friends he knew at Higginbotham’s. He is preceded in death by his parents Cyle and Isabell Martin.
