Obituary for Loretta Kirkland (Betts) Loretta Jeanette Kirkland, 80, of Mineola, passed away May 10, 2018 in Tyler, Tx. She was born in Cumby, Texas to the parentage of Clarence and Inias Mae Parris Betts. She worked as a Machine Operator for American Recreation where she retired. Loretta will be greatly remembered by her son, Michael Cole of Wills Point, TX; daughter, Angela Cole of Alba, TX; brother, Charles Betts (Carolyn) of Mineola, TX; sister, Lavern Porter of Mineola, TX; 2 grandchildren, Wendy Attaway and Randall Cole; 5 great-grandchildren, Josie, Chelsey, Cameron, Bentley, and Ava; and 1 great- great grandchild, Everett. Mrs. Kirkland was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Kirkland; and parents, Clarence and Inias Betts. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14th, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Beaty Funeral Home 5396 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 14th, 2018 at Beaty Funeral Home 5396 S. State Hwy. 37 Mineola, TX 75773 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Reggie Day conducting. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Garden in Mineola, with Michael Cole, Jody Attaway, Randall Cole, Jesse Betts serving as active pallbearers and Cameron Cole, Bentley Cole, and Everett Dillon serving as honorary pallbearers.
