Katherine Griffin, age 87, of Atlanta, Texas went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 27, 2018 in a local adult care facility. Katherine was born February 9, 1931 in Grandview, Texas to Lewis and Zeta Roberts Kiker. She was employed with National Insurance; a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a homemaker and caregiver to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Griffin; two brothers, Doyle Kiker, Buster Kiker; three sisters, Helen Works, Loyce Kirkwood,… Read More » Sue Mitchell; and by her parents. She is survived by her two sons, Michael Griffin and partner Michael Schwarz of New York City, New York, Todd Griffin of Atlanta, Texas; two daughters, Debbie DeLoach and husband Randell of Linden, Texas, Kim Watt and husband Tim of Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Virginia Snyder of Lorena, Texas, Molly Milner of Burleson, Texas, Mary Burch of Crowley, Texas; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Antioch Baptist Church under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service with Bro. Ken Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 12 Noon to 1:30 pm at Antioch Baptist Church. Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery. Those wishing to memorialize Katherine may make contributions to Heritage Hospice, 4605 Texas Blvd, Texarkana, Texas 75503.
