Jimmie Leonard Bailey, 77, of Willow Park, TX passed from this life on May 16, 2018. Jim was born in Berryville, Arkansas to Elmer and Lorene (McKinney) Bailey on February 19, 1941. He left home at an early age and moved around the country until he found his wife of 32 years and the mother of his children, Bette Lou Hogge. Jim was an entrepreneur and owner of New Union Chevrolet, New Plaza Pontiac BMW and Independence AMC/Jeep/Renault in Kansas City. Later in life, he moved to Arlington, TX and was an auto dealership broker for Ben Hicks & Associates. He spent retirement in Granbury’s Pecan Plantation and Willow Park where he could be closer to his family. Jim Bailey is preceded by his parents; Elmer and Lorene (McKinney) Bailey, his wife, Bette Lou Bailey, his infant son: Jimmie “Little Jim” Bailey, Jr., and siblings: Rich and Sarah Joan Bailey. He is survived by his children; Clint Bailey and wife Deborah, Andrea Bailey, Ericka Dove and former son in law, Shane Dove, siblings; Reena, Vivian, Janetta and Loretta: grandchildren, Hailey Bailey, Madison Bailey, Ariana Elson, Bridgett Bailey, Colin Bailey, Blake Dove, Bailey Dove and Bette Lou Dove; former wife, Donna Stiles and her children Jason Edmounds and Rhondi DiGiorno. A Celebration of the Life of Jim Bailey will be held at the Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home in Grandview, Texas (109 S. 3rd St., Grandview, TX 76050) at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, May 19. Refreshments and a time for visitation and reflection will follow the service. Jim will be interred in Berryville, Arkansas beside his parents in the Moore Baptist Church Cemetery. Jim was a loving father, devoted grandfather and all around wonderful man who was full of life and loved with all of his heart. He will be deeply missed, thankfully he has left many loving and fun memories to keep him alive in our hearts.
