Edward Alton Pierce, 83 of Waxahachie, Texas passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Waxahachie, Texas. He was born on October 31, 1934 in Meridian, Texas to the late Jewel Edward and Ruby Mae Mobley Pierce. After high school Edward served in the U.S. Army, worked many years for Exide Batteries and then operated a tow truck for many years until his retirement. He loved to bowl, was a longtime member of the USBC Texas Bowling Association and always loved the outdoors either hunting or fishing.… Read More » He will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him and loved him. He is survived by his 3 Daughters: Carla and Rickey Floyd of Lewisville, Texas, Lorri Andy Danny Girard of Waxahachie, Texas and Dee Dee Pierce of Waxahachie, Texas. 1 Brother: J.R. “Mann” Pierce of Gatesville, Texas; 1 Sister: Joyce Morris of Waxahachie, Texas, 3 Grandsons: Joshua and Whitney Floyd, Joseph and Lauren Floyd and Stephen and Emilee Girard; 3 Great Grandchildren: Jackson and Ella Floyd and Savannah Girard. 9 Special Grandchildren and 3 Special Family members. Edward was preceded in death by his parent and his wife Lila Crocker Pierce in 2008. Services to celebrate his life are scheduled for 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 02, 2018 at the Concord Cemetery in Mineola, Texas with Rev. Keefe Cropper officiating. Interment will follow. Visitation with the family will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday, May 01, 2018 at Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie. Arrangements are under the direction of Wayne Boze Funeral Home in Waxahachie, Texas.
