Funeral services for Catarino Vazquez, 83, of Wills Point are scheduled for 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at St. Luke Catholic Church. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery. Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Catarino passed away May 4, 2018, in Mesquite, TX. Catarino was born April 30, 1935, in El Pocito, GTO, Mexico. He moved to the United States as a young man to work and provide for his family. He married Ebula Gomez in Mexico in 1954. They moved to Wills Point twenty one years ago to make their home. Catarino worked in the landscape business most of his life. He was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Wills Point. He loved his family and was a good friend to all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ramon and Angela Vazquez, as well as his son, Eusebio Vazquez. Catarino is survived by his wife, Ebula Gomez Vazquez; daughters, Maurilia Gomez, Carmen Hernandez, Reyna Figueroa and Celsa Figueroa; sons, J. Antonio Vazquez and Porfirio Vazquez; brothers, Salvador Vazquez, Isaias Vazquez and David Vazquez; sisters, Juana Vazquez and Angelina Vazquez; thirty five grandchildren, forty eight great grandchildren and many other family and friends. Family visitation will be held from 6-8 Pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
