Obituary for Asbel Browning Asbel Browning, 86, of Little Laurel, was ushered into his home in Glory on April 29, 2018 at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born August 2, 1931 to Bertha Boggs Browning and Marsh Browning. He was a retired maintenance Man and garden caretaker at the Pine Mountain Settlement School. He was a born-again Christian who deeply loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He often told people that he had a home in glory waiting for him. He was a member of the Big Laurel Missionary Baptist Church for nearly 50 years. In addition to his Parents, Asbel is preceded in death by his Brothers, Levi, Aaron, Jim, Don and Astor. Sister, Wanda Rogers. Mr. Browning leave to mourn his passing his Wife of 61 years, Lorraine Madden Browning; Son, Donald R. and wife Crystal Browning; Daughter, Jennie Lynn Browning; Brothers, Leonard Browning and wife Cathy, Marsh Browning Jr. and wife Juanita of Peru, Indiana; Sisters, Lola Jordon and Husband Dan, Rose Appleton and Husband Tom also of Peru, Indiana; Grandsons, Steven Joshua Lester and Delbert Gibson; Granddaughter, Ciara Larae Browning; A Host of Nieces and Nephews with Three being like his own children, Betty Gentry, Peggy McQuinn and Marty Browning. Visitation will be Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 5PM to 9PM in the Chapel of Mount Pleasant Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Friday, May 4, 2018 at 11AM also in the Chapel with Bobby Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Browning Family Cemetery.
