Obituary for Anne Jacqueline Martin Anne Jacqueline Wallace Martin passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2018, after a long illness. Anne was born on July 3, 1934 in San Antonio, TX to James Russell Wallace and Anne Ada Wilhemina Cummings. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1951. Anne attended Trinity University on a tennis scholarship. Anne married William P. (Bill) Martin on March 27, 1954 and, together, they raised three children: Mary Ellen (Martin) Davis, James Alexander (Jim) Martin, and Nancy Elaine (Martin) Phillips. Anne was involved in Girl Scouts, acting as a troop leader from 1974 to 1982. Anne also had a profitable career in real estate working for Bradfield Properties in San Antonio. Gardening, watching movies, and family gatherings were some of her favorite activities. Anne had exceptional sewing and needlework skills. Among her many creations are Christmas stockings for her entire family that will be cherished for years to come. Survivors: Children: Mary Ellen Davis and husband Jeff, Jim Martin and wife Sharon, Nancy Phillips and husband Gary; Grandchildren : Byron Davis and wife Pam, Justin Davis and wife Tasha, Steven Davis and wife Holly, Sarah Davis and husband Aaron Libbey, Kendall Phillips, and Hayden Phillips; 6 great grandchildren; and countless other loving family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimers Association or the charity of your choice. Private Family services are scheduled.
