Donald graduated from Fairly High School in 1978. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in El Paso, Texas at Fort Bliss. Donald was also a Volunteer Chaplin with the Shelby County Sheriffs Dept. /Jail Division. After returning home from the Army, Donald utilized his entrepreneurial spirit and started businesses; the first was a Security Company, this is where he met the love of his life Saphronia Ward after being together and married for 26 years. A few years later he started his own roofing company called “Donald Wards’ Roofing and Construction Company.” With his engaging spirit and a huge heart, Donald never met a stranger, that he wouldn’t leave an impact on their lives. The jokester himself, always kept any person in ears reach full of laughter and life. He was always the brightest light and life of any party. Donald was the ultimate family man and ensured that everyone was good at all times; that was a priority for him. He also had a passion for breeding dogs. And naturally, he was a Dallas Cowboys Fan for Life. #CB4L He leaves to cherish his life, a loving wife Saphronia Ward, his children Donisha Simonton (Montario), Donald Ward Jr.,(Reneka), Bianca Ward, Vericko Williams and Tiffany Walls; his parents Lillian Murray-Brisco and Luther Ward (Annie Ward). He also leaves his siblings; Deborah Murray-Bobo, Helen Ward, Barry Ward, Clifton Ward (Lizette), Alonzo Ward, Lucas Ward (Demetria) and Christopher Brisco, three aunts; Bobbie Washington, Mary Tate and Louise Ward, one uncle Alfred Beaurgaurd, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; whom each he shared a special bond with and loved; along with a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
