Mary Alice Muse, age 59 of Speedwell, departed this life on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. She was born June 10, 1958 in LaFollette to the late Paul and Euretha Jane (Monday) Proffitt. Mary was a member of the Cawood United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, working in her yard, and spending time with her grandbaby, Braley. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brother, Carl Proffitt. Mary is survived by her husband of 41 years, Ronnie Muse of Speedwell; daughter, Jessica Schroeder of LaFollette; granddaughter, Braley Schroeder; grandson, Ethan Schroeder; sisters, Patricia Miracle of Maynardville and Loura Smith and husband, Dewey of Jacksboro; nieces, Samantha Davis, Michelle Smith, Paul Kiser, and Libby Harris; nephew, Jeremy Smith; a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation for Mary will be on Tuesday, May 29th, 2018 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Her funeral service will begin at 7:00 PM with Rev. Richard Proffitt officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, May 30th, 2018 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home and go in funeral procession to Beeler Cemetery for a 10:00 AM interment.
