Obituary for Elmyra Ann Kistner Elmyra Ann Kistner, 82, of Bristol, TN, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the Wexford House in Kingsport, TN. She was born in Bristol, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Fred Edward Young and Elizabeth Myers Young. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Maurice Douglas Kistner, Sr.; one son, Timothy Edward Kistner; and one sister, Sarah Beck; and one sister-in-law, Charlotte Kistner. Elmyra was the bookkeeper at Pippin’s Florist. She was a member of Windsor Avenue Presbyterian Church. She loved sharing time with family, helping raise her grandchildren, doing crafts, sewing and was known for her gardening with her green thumb. She is survived by her three sons, Maurice “Chip” Kistner and wife Gina, Jeffrey Steven Kistner and wife Leda, and David Allen Kistner, all of Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor Kistner, Keda and Gregory Dye, and Lacota O’Quinn; two foster grandchildren, Jacob Belcher and Fawn Alexander; eight great grandchildren, Elijah, Issaac, Alexia, Madalyn, and Taylor Dye, and Caden, Preston, and Aloreana O’Quinn. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home in Bristol, TN. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Dr. Mark Hutton officiating. A Private Inurnment will be held in the Heritage Chapel of Memories at Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol, TN. Arrangements especially for Mrs. Kistner and her family were made through Oakley-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory.
