Donnie Ray Anderson Townsend July 21 1927 May 18 2018 (age 90)

Mrs. Donnie Ray Townsend, 90, former decaler for World Wide Art Studios, died May 18, 2018, in Memphis. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church for 75 years and served there as a youth director, Sunday School Teacher, choir member, and on various committees in the church. The widow of Marion D. “Dick” Townsend after 60 years of marriage, she leaves a niece, Janie Cranford; great-nieces Jody Anderson and Jimmie Kaye (Alan) Knight (who cared for her); great-nephew Gary W. Cranford, Jr.; great-great-nieces Brandi (Drew) Laxton and Kaylee Atkinson; great-great nephew Cody Knight; and great-great-great-nephews Sawyer and Porter Laxton; and a host of friends and a loving church family. Visitation for Mrs. Townsend will be Noon-2PM Monday, May 21, with funeral services officiated by Rev. Greg Gilbreath and Rev. Cliff Marion at 2PM, all at Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Covington Memorial Gardens. The family asks that any memorials be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital of LeBonheur Childrens Hospital.
