West-Columbia-John “Johnny” William Jett Jr., 57, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at his home in West Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on May 12, 1961 in Columbia, SC to John and Sara Adams Jett. Johnny grew up in Lexington, SC. He graduated from Lexington High School in Lexington, SC in 1978. After high school he attended College at Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC where he received Associates Degrees in both Accounting and Respiratory Therapy. After receiving his Associates Degrees, he became the owner and operator of John Jett Construction. Johnny was a member of West Columbia 1st Church of the Nazarene. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and going to the beach. Johnny was preceded in death by his father, John William Jett, Sr. Johnny is survived by his Mother, Sara Adams Jett of West Columbia; Son, John Martin Jett (Tallison Jett) of Greenville, SC; his Sister, Angela Petrey (Gene Petrey) of Swansea, SC; his Uncle, Chris Adams (Rebecca Adams) of Gray Court; his Grandchildren, Lyric Jett and Ezra Jett; and his Nephew, Justin Petrey (Jennifer Petrey) and Great-Niece, Carly Petrey. A memorial service will be held at West Columbia 1st Church of the Nazarene, 350 Wattling Road West Columbia, SC 29170 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, June 1, 2018.
