Hartsville, SC Jerry Thomas Sumner, 57, died Thursday, May 3, 2018. Born in Chesterfield, SC, he was a son of the late Thomas J. and Alta Rae Sumner. Jerry was an avid muscle car enthusiast and enjoyed collecting model cars. He was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Stock Sumner of Hartsville, SC, a son, David Thomas Sumner, of Hartsville, SC, a sister, Nancy Ardealia Bosman Freyermuth of Chesterfield, SC, brothers, Johnny Johnson of Hartsville, SC, Robert (Carol) Lear of Chesterfield, SC, and Andy Freeman of Cheraw, SC, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a sister of heart, Shannon (Scott) Badell. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, and a sister Vickie Rae Sumner. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM-3:00 PM, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Kiser Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Kiser Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Zoar United Methodist Church.
