Obituary for Essie Dosch (Hopson) ESSIE BELL HOPSON DOSCH, beloved mother, age 83, of 1102 Wenwood Circle Greenville, SC 29607 passed away quietly at home on Friday, May 18, 2018. Born in Enigma (Berrien County) Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Mitchell and Mary Etta Canady Hopson of Ocilla, Ga. She was a retired loan officer in the banking industry and a member of the Travelers Rest First Baptist Church. She was a homemaker after retiring and loved baking cakes for family, friends and local restaurants. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Dosch, a brother Glenn Hopson and sister Montyle (Elvin) Hopson Farmer. Surviving are two daughters, Dianne Southwell (Jim) of Greenville, SC and Linda Dosch Bendell of Atlanta, Ga, one grandson Justin Cisson currently serving in the Navy, a sister Bernice (Harry) Sutton of Nashville, Ga, brother Johnny (Darlene) Hopson of Mystic, Ga also including numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Her family would like to express their deep gratitude to Pruitt Health Hospice Care who with compassion and love helped care for her during the last year of her life. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Old Valley Grove Primitive Baptist Church in Irwin County where she will be laid to rest.
