Mary Parece Gonsalves 2018

Mary Rosary (Parece) Gonsalves, 86, of Williams St., Providence, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, Monday, May 21, 2018. She was the wife of the late Antone Gonsalves. Born Nov. 14, 1931, in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Virginio Parece and the late Virginia (Ribeiro) Parece. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. To her family Mary was “the rock” offering boundless love and guidance. She will be remembered by so many for her generosity, always opening her door to anyone in need and helping any way she could. She was the beloved mother of Wayne Gonsalves and his wife Maria of East Providence, Bernice Pacheco of Providence, Brenda Gonsalves of Fairfax, VA, Michelle Galvao of Providence, the late Glen Gonsalves and the late Ronald Gonsalves; grandmother of 5; and great grandmother of 3. She was also the sister of Ernest Parece of Rehoboth, Maria Pereira of East Providence, Natalie Hinz of Warwick and the late Maria Cordeiro. Her funeral will begin Friday, May 25, at 8am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, from 5pm until 8pm.
