Edward “Eddie” Heath, age 78, passed away peacefully May 28, 2018 at home surrounded by his family in Cumberland, RI where he lived for 29 years. Eddie was born in Woonsocket, RI to the late Roland and Grace (Longton) Heath. He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-nine years, Natalie (Houseman) Heath of Cumberland. Eddie was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1964. He worked at Almac’s Supermarkets as a meat cutter for 39 years. He then worked at Shaw’s Supermarkets until his retirement. Besides his wife Natalie, Eddie leaves behind his two daughters, Charlene Heath Johnson and her husband, Robert of Ashland, MA and Charlotte Flanagan of West Hartford, CT, four grandchildren, Erin, Sarah, Andrew, and Matthew and his brother, Douglas, who recently passed away. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Jay Flanagan. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Dr. Glenn Cochran, Dr. Haley Manella, Hanna Manella, and Michael Heath, 6 great nephews and 1 niece. He was predeceased by his niece Gail Colace. He also leaves behind his cherished cat Sir Maxx. His funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St. Woonsocket, beginning with visitation at 10 AM, with a service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, PO Box 41659, Providence, RI 02904.
